Extremely Disappointed with Pampered Chef
Let me start off my saying that I have purchased a lot of Pampered Chef items for myself as well as friends and family over the past 14 years. I was so excited to get the stainless steel bowls with lids for myself in 2005.
I called customer service today to find out if I could receive replacement lids for all 3 bowls because they were all cracked. I rarely use them and I was quite disappointed when I was told that my only option was to purchase new lids. Um, no thanks. Why would I want to spend $20 or more on the same lids that are probably going to end up cracking?
I thought that this was a good company but apparently not. I will not be buying any more of their products.
I will just go to Sur La Table or Williams Sonoma from now on. I would rather give my money to a company that stands behind their products.
Monetary Loss: $84.

I bought the stainless steel bowls w/lids also. All of Pampered chef items I have heard about were dishwasher safe.
When I first got them home, I washed them in the dishwasher. I put the lids on and they wouldn't fit. Went to the instructions, and it said DO NOT WASH LIDS IN DISHWASHER! Are you kidding me?
I can't use the bowls now.
When I went to see if I could buy replacements lids (WHICH ARE NOW DISHWASHER SAFE!), I can't. I have to buy the whole set. SO DISAPPOINTED!
I feel like donating them to the Goodwill. Pampered Chef used to be a good brand.
Uhmm ...just a thought but maybe you should have read the instruction booklet BEFORE you used it. Not all PC items are dishwasher safe.
Ummm.... no, Allen, it isn't asking a bit much, because Tupperware, their main competitor, does exchange lids. If you can give me a cracked lid, I can get it replaced.
I would not consider Tupperware a competitor with Pampered Chef. Especially since Tupperware only sells a plastic productline and Pampered Chef is a kitchen productline.
Also, the lids on the stainless steel bowls are not a "plastic" but a polyplastic... much more expensive.
I am sorry for your inconvience. However, before you stop shopping with ANY company, keep this mind.
Your bowl lids cracked because they were 6 years old. Regardless of how much it is used, plastic degrades over time, especially new plastic that is required to be biodegradable. NO company is going to give free replacement parts for any product like that after six years. My wife has A LOT of Pampered chef stuff that get used on an almost daily basis, and has for several years now.
We have only had problems with 2 products we have ever purchased from them.
Both were from just being used a lot.
Most of the products they sell only have a 1 year warranty. So ,honestly, expecting them to replace the lids for free is asking a bit much.
Pampered Chef does have a lifetime guarantee. HOWEVER, you must have your order number or you are SOL.
Amy, As a consultant, I can tell you PC does NOT have a life-time guarantee on everything. It is only on certain products.
Please stop telling people everything is lifetime guarantee. There are several wonderful customers getting pissed off at consultants and the company because people are telling them their can opener should be replaced for free after 15 years of use because "it's guaranteed for life"...or their egg tray is leaking after 7 years and the company won't send them a new one.
Pampered Chef has a Lifetime guarantee on SOME products. But the minimum guarantee on any product is 1 year.
The stainless bowls have a 5 Year guarantee. I think the only things that have Lifetime are the knives and cookware.
Yes the cookware has a lifetime warranty, HOWEVER if they stop carrying the same product, you have to buy something more expensive and pay for shipping. They will credit your original "show" purchase price.
Keep in mind that they will at the end of your phone call try to tell you that the reason their cookware failed is because of something I did to them. Did you wash them in the dishwasher? No. Did you use a coarse sponge?
No. Well we'll have our product review take a look and see if it falls under the lifetime warranty. If yes you should have your pans within 8-12 weeks after approval. LOL really?
Three months without cookware?
I told them to keep their *** cookware and I'll buy from Costco where yes, they do honor returns. Horrible company you are PC and I'd be embarrassed to be a consultant here.
