Pampered Chef - No Cut Can Opener - Cut my finger on 1st Use
Pampered Chef should have left excellence alone when they redesigned their can opener. I recently purchased a new one because I was quite pleased with the original can opener, only to find it has been redesigned.
(I missed the party and made a purchase based on past quality). On my first use, I cut my finger on an edge from the can. I just used it again and could hardly get the can opener off the can.
When I did, I noticed a sharp edge on the can top that I could have again, cut myself on.

I agree! I with the new one I find myself resorting to my regular can opener. There is nothing about the new model to make any cook feel pampered...it should be labeled frustrated chef
I'm sorry that you are having this experience. Have you reached out to the consultant regarding this?
There is a video that shows how to use the new design and the little grippers on the side that are used for pulling off the lid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnk9i0DiggA.
I would be happy to help you with your concern as much as I can. pamperedchefwaco@***.com or www.facebook.com/pamperedchefwaco
Oh I'm sure she's using it properly, did you read that she already used one successfully. It's the new design.
This has me concerned because I have the old design, love it, but wanted to get a new one for my son as he has a young daughter now.
Considering I've never ever ever evvvvver gotten satisfaction when their products have a problem, I won't invest in their one this time. Thank you for the review, I found it very helpful.
You need to learn how to use it properly.
I used the old one just fine, and it worked like a dream! There is only one way to use it after you attach it to the can !
Half the time it doesn't even cut the can, then other half, it leaves splinters.
And the hook for lifting is a joke. !!
