Pampered Chef - Padding your order form ?
I'm insulted that PC adds a charge of $5.25 for delivery of product to their hosts. To make matters even more insulting, they assess sales tax on the delivery fee.
Their products are not economically priced to begin with and to pad your order and give you no option to pick up your merchandise without charge just shows how inconsiderate they really are. I would suggest they give their customers options for delivery that do not include an upcharge.
I would also suggest PC check with state taxing entities to determine whether collecting sales tax on delivery fees are even required. Still insulted!!
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.
Monetary Loss: $6.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Pampered Chef Pros: Party atmosphere.
Pampered Chef Cons: Upcharges.

For crying out loud, who is supposed to pay for the shipping! The $5.25 s/h that every order "chips in", to go to the host is CHEAP!
Do you know how much shipping costs are? And for $2 more it can ship to your house ($2!!!!! Crap! $2!!!!!)?
Do yourself a favor. Take that box, go to Fed Ex, have them weigh it, and ask how much the shipping would be.
I guarantee it will be more than what was collected. And for those other companies that "do not collect shipping charges" if it goes to the host, someone is paying for..like in the prices.....
Not right to have everyone pay a 6.00 shipping charge when everything comes in one box...
Iโm with you! The order is getting shipped to the host, so why is there even a charge? Iโm thinking of not ordering.
I just discovered the same thing today. I am absolutely disgusted.
In all the years I have supported my friends and family that have had direct sale parties I have never been charged a delivery fee for my order delivered to my host. If it wasn't that it was in support of my mother-in-law and sister-in-law I would not have completed my order after learning this. And then they billed for tax on the fee.
Outrageous. I will never order from or participate in a party by PC.
The tax on shipping depends on the state you live in. I know California does it for one.
You can directly ship to yourself for $7.25 if you donโt like it being sent to the host. Shipping is not cheap anywhere.
Mary,
I can't believe how little you know how other companies offering group orders work. They don't charge shipping on party orders.
That's the little perk you get if you order in a group instead of individual order.
I've been Stampin Up consultant for several years, others too, they don't charge shipping for orders. That's why a lot of Pampered Chef costumers are upset and surprise with the charge.
Your state determines whether or not shipping charges are taxed, not pampered chef. Solution: move to a different state.
Also, that "delivery" charge is shipping.
FedEx charges that. I'm not really understanding your level of ignorance on how ordering things works.
If you have your order shipped to your host, you won't have the shipping fees. I hope that helps, Mary!
I still did have to pay $5.25 to have my order shipped to the host at the party here in Oregon, because it was cheaper than shipping it to me, livings Just 10 blocks away. But then I still have to go get it from her, so really didn't save any.
Pamered Chef charges each order individually for shipping even if it shipped to the host
